Today was a lazy day for me. There was only two shops we haven't visited. They were both out in Bastrop. The
appointments conflicted the the A&M vs Alabama game so Austin went. For his good service I ordered us a $25 pizza from East Side Pies. Was it good? Yes. Was it $25 good? Debatable.
So the game didn't go as planned. I bet you can guess who I was rooting for.
Defeated in a terrible way. I needed to drown my sorrows. What better way that a BFZ Sealed Draft. Yes, SEALED DRAFT. So you get 3 packs. You have three minutes to open the packs and basically memorize what you have. Then you receive three more packs and draft like normal. My first three packs were a poor mix of BR ingest, BW life-gain and really bad allies. The draft wasn't that much better. People around we ended up opening bombs and an expedition. The guy across from me popped a FOIL Drana, I ended up going UBR colorless. I had to drop black and just hoped that my three nettle drones will carry me.
Boy did they. However, every game was a struggle. Ended up getting 2-0-1. Due to us only have 7 people in our pod that left me tied with the guy I drew who ended up 2-0-1 as well. His deck was super gross. He had me to one life, but I did have enough blockers to stave off his next few attacks when time was called.
The packs I won were pretty bad too. Quarantine Field was the only card over $1. :(
