With Austin conquered my cohort and I split up. He heads to the valley (far south Texas) and I head to Houston. The split causes both of us to be fairly light on product so this will have to be the last leg of our journey through Texas for now.
On my way to Houston I stop by and visit one my favorite places I've ever lived, College Station (Aggieland). My friend Raul was still in town from Alabama game the previous day. Still scarred from the previous days horrific game we decide to head to Northgate for some beer and grub before my meeting with Clockwork.
It's been over two years since I've been back to Aggieland. So much has changed. Both Bryan and College Station have blown up. The population has skyrocketed since I lived here in 2011. There's new buildings everywhere. Even in the tiny area north of campus where the college night life runs wild. One of the newest additions is Blackwater Draw Brewing Company. They have a sweet wrap around deck in the front and house their stills inside of the main dining area. For their in-house brews the tap handle is literally a hunting knife stabbed into a piece of wood. Awesome. It may be a little pricey for college kids, but similar establishments I've been to in Dallas/Houston charge you twice as much. The fresh brewed beer is great too.
Afterwards we head back to Clockwork, play a couple games of EDH and meet with the manager Michael. The owners were out of town, but it's looking like you'll be able to find us here sometime before Halloween.
Alright. On to Houston.
